“My best understanding of the word “dialogue” is: To enter into dialogue is to go into a conversation holding forth the possibility that the other person(s) may have a truth that I do not yet have and therefore the other person’s sharing of that truth with me just might transform my life.
If I enter into a conversation believing that I have all the truth then this isn’t dialogue but simply trying to win an argument.
Sacred Conversations are built on the model that on any given day God’s Holy Spirit just might use another individual to reveal truth that I do not yet understand and in so doing transform my life.”
